Erin Anne

Singer/songwriter Erin Anne makes rousing, '90s-style indie rock in the Liz Phair tradition, balancing infectious hooks with candid lyrics informed by her queer, feminist point of view. She garnered critical buzz with her 2019 debut Tough Love and further expanded her sound with 2022's Do Your Worst. A native of New Jersey, Anne started out taking violin lessons in elementary school before transitioning to the guitar and keyboard. She began teaching herself cover tunes and by her teens was writing her own songs. However, it was while attending Bowdoin College that she began coming into her own. She discovered the riot grrrl movement, embraced her queer identity, and formed her first band, the Navel Gazers. After college, she moved to Portland, Maine, where she launched her solo career, performing and recording as REGI RKT. Following an early EP, she released her debut album under her own name, 2019's Tough Love. It showcased her vibrant blend of guitar-based indie rock and folky pop and helped nab her a deal with Carpark Records, which re-released Tough Love to wider acclaim. In 2022, she returned with her sophomore album, Do Your Worst, which found her expanding her rock influences with synthy electronic pop, as well as continuing to explore feminist and LGBTQ-centric themes.
