Amistades Peligrosas

Alberto Comesaña and Cristina del Valle met for the first time in 1989, when Comesaña was leading a pop/rock band called Semen Up and del Valle was performing as a solo artist known as Cris. That same year, they moved to Madrid and started calling themselves Amistades Peligrosas. Teaming up with producer Luis Carlos Esteban, they signing with EMI in 1990. In June 1991, their debut album Relatos De Una Intriga was released, featuring the hit single "Estoy Por Tí." La Ultima Tentación followed in December 1993, going platinum in Spain and Latin America and getting "Me Haces Tanto Bien" winning Song of the Year. In March 1996, La Profecía demonstrated del Valle and Comesaña were turning to deeper lyrics and less pop style. 1997's Nueva Era became their last album. Amistades Peligrosas disbanded after a press conference in July 1998.
