Sorti en 1992, The Very Best of Supertramp, Vol. 2 rassemble le meilleur des chansons laissées de côté par le volume 1 de 1990. Alors que le premier volume rassemblait leurs plus gros hits tels "The Logical Song", "It's Raining Again" et "Give a Little Bit", cette deuxième compilation se compose des chansons moins familières. On n’y trouve que cinq singles, "Don't Leave Me Now", "Babaji", "Lady", "Free as a Bird" et "My Kind of Lady", dont aucun n’a eu de réel impact au Royaume-Uni et aux États-Unis. Les neuf autres chansons sont extraites de leurs albums les plus populaires, Crime of the Century, Crisis? What Crisis, Even in the Quietest Moments et Breakfast in America.
