There are better single-disc compilations that deal with the Sugarhill Gang and Grandmaster Flash separately (and more appropriately), but this package from Sanctuary is a somewhat serviceable (if flawed) way to kill two birds with one stone. The Sugarhill Gang disc covers just about everything you really need, including "Rapper's Delight," "8th Wonder," "Apache," "The Lover in You," and "Kick It Live from 9 to 5." The greatest flaw of Flash's disc is that it leaves out "The Adventures of Grandmaster Flash on the Wheels of Steel," but it does feature other must-have tracks like "White Lines (Don't Do It)," "The Message," "New York New York," and "Scorpio."
