  • Un des très grands enregistrements de l'histoire du disque (datant de 1966 et réédité en 2002) grâce à la direction à la fois inspirée, généreuse et théâtrale de Sir John Barbirolli qui fait éclater ici ses origines italiennes. Côté chant, c'est le rêve avec une Renata Scotto au sommet de sa forme vocale dans un rôle qui fut un de ses préférés. Carlo Bergonzi est un styliste de grande classe et d'un souffle puissant. Le reste est à l'avenant et le tout procure un plaisir infini. FH

Warner Music Group (anciennement WEA Records) est le troisième plus gros producteur de disque dans le monde. C'est aussi la seule des quatre géants du disque à ne pas avoir comme ancêtre commun Columbia Phonograph Company ou Berliner Gramophone. On date les débuts de WMG à la création de Warner Bros. Records en 1958. À l'époque Warner Bros Pictures n'avait pas de division musicale ou de labels au moment où l'un de ses acteurs, Tab Hunter, enregistre une chanson à succès pour Dot Records qui était la division musicale rivale de Paramount Pictures. Pour éviter que l'un de leurs acteurs n'enregistre pour une compagnie concurrente et pour aussi capitaliser sur l'industrie ...
