Sophistication, humour, sensibilité… Tels sont les mots qu’on accole souvent à la musique d’Henry Mancini. Cette monumentale entreprise en est actuellement à son 8e volume et s’achèvera en 2032, à l’occasion des 300 ans de la naissance du Père de la symphonie. Le Finlandais Esa-Pekka Salonen est un chef d’orchestre acclamé et un compositeur prolifique. Avec plus de 60 disques au compteur, il a fait évoluer l’histoire de l’interprétation. Dialogue avec un musicien exceptionnel qui évoque pour Qobuz son travail en studio et son rapport à l’enregistrement.
