Kim Jae Hwan

Kim Jae-hwan is a South Korean singer and songwriter. He was born on May 27, 1996, in Seoul, and first gained national attention as a contestant on the reality competition show Korea's Got Talent in 2012, where he made it to the semi-finals. He served as the vocalist for the group ShelRock, but they disbanded in 2015. He also participated in the TV show Vocal War: God's Voice, emerging as the winner. In 2017, Kim Jae-hwan participated in season 2 of the show Produce 101, where he earned a spot in the project boy group Wanna One. The group debuted later in 2017 and enjoyed immense success, topping charts and winning hearts until their disbandment in December 2018. Following Wanna One's disbandment, Kim Jaehwan embarked on a solo career, signing with Swing Entertainment. In 2019, he released his debut EP Another, marking his solo debut, followed by a string of successful extended plays including Moment (2019), Change (2021), The Letter (2021), and Empty Dream (2022), showcasing his growth as an artist. In this period he also released hit singles such as "Begin Again" and "Goodbye," both of which experienced success in the Korean music charts. He was awarded Best Vocalist at the 2021 APAN Music Awards. In 2024, he released the single "Ponytail," accompanied by a single album of the same name. It peaked at number 10 on the K-pop Albums Top 100.
