Publié en 2019 et succédant à Wild World (2016), Doom Days constitue le troisième album studio de la formation pop rock américaine Bastille emmenée par Dan Smith. Affichant une volonté affirmée de s'éloigner des considérations pessimistes de son prédécesseur, marqué par un sentiment d'injustice et de corruption globale, l'album voit le groupe opter pour une approche hédoniste, le suivant à travers une nuit blanche et explorant les émotions jaillissant au fil des heures et des rencontres. Si une certaine mélancolie ne manque pas de s'inviter, Bastille démontre la maîtrise croissante d'une formule mise au point avec "Pompeii" en 2013 et plus universelle que jamais dans sa volonté de saisir l'instant présent. Porté par le single "Joy", Doom Days s'invite notamment en quatrième position des charts anglais.
