Trois ans après avoir dégoupillé sa Grenade dans l’album Sainte-Victoire (deux Victoires de la Musique en 2019), Clara Luciani dissipe les fumées de l’explosion avec ce Cœur solaire et groovy. Dans les 11 titres de ce disque, la chanteuse d’origine provençale remet au goût du jour une certaine variété des années 1970 – le disco impeccablement produit de Claude François notamment. Certes, sa voix profonde se situe aux antipodes de celle de l’interprète d’Alexandrie Alexandra, mais on retrouve l’atmosphère à la fois dansante (dans la musique) et intime (dans les textes) qui faisait le sel de ce disco-funk à la française. On pense également à Michel Berger (notamment dans Le Chanteur, sorte de cousin éloigné du pianiste qui jouait debout), mais aussi à Michel Delpech (dans le duo avec Julien Doré, Sad & Slow). En d’autres mots, la boule à facettes de Clara Luciani (épaulée par le producteur Sage) est composée de multiples mosaïques, qui sont autant de clins d’œil à ses idoles made in France. Mais, dans la bouche de Clara Luciani, disco ne signifie pas superficialité. Dans les paroles des chansons, il est question d’amours malheureux (Reste), d’élans de liberté (Respire encore), ou encore de confessions de blessures intimes (le guitare/voix J’sais pas plaire).
