Les Rita Mitsouko formaient un couple insolite, mais ça n’a pas empêché leur musique de séduire un très large public. À coups d’audace et de mélanges, parfois de scandales, le groupe formé par Catherine Ringer et Fred Chichin en 1979 a écrit des chansons essentielles de la bande-son des années 1980, et devenues éternelles. Alors que la Philharmonie de Paris offre une carte blanche à la chanteuse pour les 40 ans du groupe, retour sur l’itinéraire d’un duo pas comme les autres.

Elvis, toujours roi ?

Quarante-deux ans après sa mort, Elvis Presley demeure un précurseur inégalé. Mais si ses essentielles séances de 1954-1955 pour le label Sun restent la pierre angulaire du rock’n’roll, l’aura du King semble aujourd'hui s’estomper chez les plus jeunes au profit des Beatles, des Stones et autres Beach Boys. Et pourtant…

Jimi Hendrix, le ciel a fini d’attendre

Malgré une carrière éclair, Jimi Hendrix a eu le temps de réinventer le blues en repoussant les limites sonores du genre, grâce à sa Stratocaster et à la liberté électrique de son inspiration. Son troisième album posthume <i>Both Sides of the Sky</i>, une compilation d’inédits cinq étoiles, offre un panorama étonnamment large de l'épopée courte mais fulgurante du Voodoo Child.
