Pauly Shore
Pauly Shore became the darling of the MTV crowd with his burned-out California persona, but his roots went deep into comedy's history, as his father was a veteran of the Catskill circuit and his mother ran the Comedy Club in Los Angeles. At the peak of his popularity in the early '90s, he starred in hit films and issued a series of LPs including Scraps from the Future, The Future of America, and Pink Diggily Diggily. After his films began drawing dwindling crowds and a short-lived sitcom flopped, however, Shore maintained a relatively low profile, occasionally coming out of the woodwork to release albums like 2000's Hollywood, We've Got a Problem.
