Fama

FAMA (Chinese: 農夫) is a Hong Kong hip-hop duo formed in 2002. Consisting of members C Kwan and Luk Wing (6-Wing), FAMA has gained recognition for their energetic performances and lyrical prowess, with their music often reflecting Hong Kong society and culture. After meeting at school, Kwan and Wing were part of the underground rap metal band System Map before forming FAMA. They joined forces with DJ蠟筆 and GiGi 聶碧芝, eventually releasing their debut studio album Poem O' Da Moon 月下思 in 2002. By 2006, GiGi had left the group and FAMA's breakthrough co-incided with the release of the single "456Wing," which garnered significant airplay on local radio stations. Their third studio album Music Tycoon further solidified their popularity and success. In 2007, FAMA achieved mainstream recognition with the hit single "Wing and Water Rising" featuring Feng Shui master Mak Ling Ling, receiving accolades including My Favourite Group and Best Group Gold Prize at the Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation. Since then, FAMA has released a further eight studio albums including O'Fama (2010), Miracle (2010), Double Happiness (2012), and If You Don't Have It Now, You Will Have It Real Soon (Part I, 2015; Part II, 2016). After a brief hiatus, the duo returned in 2023 with the album 農夫散文集, with lead single "冇你就冇我," debuting in the Top 50 Cantonese singles chart, proving themselves once again as a dynamic force in the Hong Kong music scene.
