Aunque la cálida voz de barítono de Nick Drake y su guitarra acústica pulsada con los dedos son ingredientes sencillos, sus canciones albergan una exuberante complejidad y una elegante magia cuyo encanto no ha hecho sino proyectar sobre él una sombra más grande y atormentada desde su prematuro fallecimiento cimentando su estatus de icono.
