Tomas Gubitsch
An Argentine guitar prodigy in the 1970s, Tomás Gubitsch went on to join Astor Piazzola's orchestra. He arrived in Paris in the master's suitcases in 1977 and decided to make it his home. Tomás Gubitsch now divides his career between jazz, world music and contemporary music. In each style, he chose his collaborations carefully, working alongside Steve Lacy, Nana Vasconcelos and Luc Ferrari. His own albums, Sans Cesse (Suite ) in 1997 and Songs of Innocence in 1999, have made a big impact. Ítaca in 2012 combines rock, tango and contemporary music in a challenging exercise.
