Luego del asombroso éxito de su debut publicado en 2010, Bethany Cosentino, alias Best Coast, está lista para regresar con The Only Place, otro álbum de punk playero melódico. El primer anticipo del disco, cuyo título es el que da nombre a la placa, es una burbujeante oda a California, a la que describe como el lugar donde se encuentran "el océano, las chicas, el sol, las olas", y que pregunta: "¿Por qué querrías vivir en otro lugar?" Si su bajo fuzz y su ligero aire a rock alternativo de los '90 pueden tomarse como muestra del resto del disco, The Only Place será seguramente un verdadero festín de temas pegadizos. El lanzamiento del álbum coincidirá con el de la primera colección de ropa de Cosentino, distribuida exclusivamente por Urban Outfitters, y tan típicamente alegre y luminosa como su música.
