La música de The Black Eyed Peas resulta eficaz desde el punto de vista del pop fusión, pero lo es a costa de padecer todas las limitaciones propias de esta fórmula: las letras resultan insulsas, las interpretaciones están poco logradas, ha habido que corregir las voces por medio de Auto-Tune, y las composiciones no pretenden sino buscar (y llegan a encontrarlo) el mínimo común denominador. En este disco, para el que el grupo contó con will.i.am como productor (y que en todo momento es lo mejor que tiene el álbum), The Black Eyed Peas se aleja aún más del hip-hop para adentrarse en un tipo de dance-pop que, al tratar de parecer vivificante sin ofrecer realmente ningún aliciente, ha terminado siendo muy del gusto del sector publicitario para sus campañas. Con toda seguridad, The E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies) no hará cambiar de opinión a quienes consideren que lo peor que ha habido en música pop en los primeros años del siglo XXI son las penosas interpretaciones de que hace gala este grupo y la condescendencia que se permite.
