En su cuarto álbum solista como Saint Vincent, Annie Clark se aproxima al pop sin diluir la esencia de su música; de hecho, su agudo ingenio brilla aún más así presentado, envuelto en una confección de caramelo con una pizca de veneno. Esto es particularmente evidente en los dos primeros sencillos: "Digital Witness", que recuerda el material de Love This Giant, su aclamada colaboración con David Byrne, y "Birth in Reverse", la canción más inmediata de Clark desde "Actor Out Of Work".
