Si tuviéramos que describirlo en pocas palabras, lo que diríamos es que el álbum LOVE de the Beatles suena radical: el productor Giles Martin, con ayuda de su padre, el legendario productor de los Beatles George, confeccionó un álbum de remezclas para el que no se limitó a restaurar las canciones que todos conocemos, sino que las fundió de tal modo que con distintas versiones de varias canciones compuso nuevas piezas. Sin llegar a ser ni lamentable ni genial, en una primera escucha LOVE suena un tanto extraño. No obstante, la sensación de novedad pronto da paso a la revelación de que son las mismas canciones que tan bien recordamos, sólo que la percusión se hace notar más y hay unas pocas partes más en diversos puntos del disco. Este disco es todo un espectáculo, vivo y colorido en su constante empeño por entretener; aun así, LOVE no es mucho más que una forma de nostalgia camuflada de novedad.
