Con el lanzamiento de Get Lucky, Mark Knopfler ha publicado tantos álbumes de estudio en solitario como álbumes de estudio publicó con Dire Straits, lo que en sí podría ser una señal de que ya es hora de dejar de comparar sus dos carreras y sencillamente aceptarlas como dos entidades independientes.
