Although this is something of a grab-bag--a mix of live material (recorded at the new wave dance palace, the Peppermint Lounge) and studio stuff done with producer Jimmy Miller (of Rolling Stones fame)--this is a good document of the ex-New York Doll's solo work from the early '80s.
There are good versions of songs associated with his old bandmates ("Jet Boy," "Great Big Kiss"), as well as a rousing new track, the characteristically loud and snotty "Get Off the Phone." The album also features one of Thunders' best who-needs-girls anthems (titled, felicitously, "Who Needs Girls," with lyrics pasted onto Booker T.'s "Green Onions") as well as a typically endearing non-sequitur ("Okay, for all you Chicano boys," he announces, "that song was called "King of the Gypsies").
