Being free to do what he wanted since creating his own label Nomark, Amon Tobin brings out albums at his own pace: quickly. The Brazilian artist has released three albums since 2019, dropped singles under his bass music pseudonym Two Fingers, created a new rock identity as Only Child Tyrant, and has now released – with hardly any warning – a collaborative EP with Thys, a member of the Dutch D’n’B trio Noisia. We find four short ethereal tracks, “ghost postcards” composed by four hands, with no beats, sweeping synths and grandiose string sections, making for ten minutes of pure levitation. © Smaël Bouaici/Qobuz
