Red Death
Part of the new wave of D.C. hardcore, Red Death's caustic blend of crossover and thrash invokes names like D.R.I., Corrosion of Conformity, the Accused, and Discharge.
Formed in 2013 and consisting of members of regional decibel-crushers Coke Bust, Sectarian Violence, Genocide Pact, and Pure Disgust, among others, the band issued a well-received demo in 2014 that made waves in the fertile D.C. D.I.Y. punk scene. Their first full-length outing, Permanent Exile, arrived the following year via Grave Mistake, with a sophomore effort, Formidable Darkness, dropping in 2017 via Triple B. They returned two years later with Sickness Divine, which featured the song "Face the Pain."
