“Tracker” e’ l’ottavo album solista di Mark Knopfler, grande cantautore e chitarrista inglese ex leader dei mitici Dire Straits. Arriva a tre anni dal buon successo del precedente “Privateering”, e viene anticipato dal singolo “Beryl”, uscito lo scorso gennaio. Il sound e’ quello caratteristico delle ultime produzioni di Knopfler, un blues-roots-rock dalle atmosfere calde e coinvolgenti e testi che raccontano sarcasticamente la vita di tutti i giorni. L’album esce in due versioni, una standard con 11 brani, che aumentano a 15 nella versione deluxe, ed e’ prodotto dallo stesso Knopfler in coppia con Guy Fletcher, storico tastierista dei Dire Straits.
