Jaojoby
With his straight-ahead vocal style set to pulsing rhythms influenced by rock and roll and saleg, the national dance beat of Madagascar, Jaojoby (born: Jaojoby Eusebe) has helped to turn the music of his homeland into an international phenomenon. Launching his career in 1970, when he placed first on a Madegascan television show similar to Star Search, Jaojoby has continued to attract a loyal following with his infectuous dance music.
