Chris Gestrin
Chris Gestrin first appeared on the Vancouver jazz scene in the late 90's, fresh out of Boston's Berklee College of Music and ready to spread his piano talents. Joining several groups around the area in virtually every aspect of jazz, he eventually recorded with several of them. He began releasing discs in Canada by 1996, but it took almost six years for him to expand his releases to other countries. Joined by several notable local players, Gestrin recorded Stillpoint in the spring for international release that summer.
