As they are gearing up to embark on their European tour, the Australian duo have shared with us what they're listening to right now and what has inspired the haunting folk of last year's self-titled album.

On Angus & Julia Stone's playlist, classics mix with newer cuts: you can find Kurt Vile, whose set Julia caught at Coachella, Dead Flowers by The Rolling Stones, which featured so prominently on the soundtrack to The Big Lebowski, and JJ Cale, who Angus sites as a major source of inspiration.

The eclectic selection includes the hip-hop of Eric Sermon, the rockier Modest Mouse and Coffee by Sylvan Esso, chosen by Julia for its softness but also the way it compels her to start dancing. It also features the magnetic energies of Kendrick Lamar and The Roots, as well as a look back at their native Australian music scene with a track by Jarryd James.
