Moby isn’t the kind of artists who particularly enjoys going on tour. But being as unpredictable as he is, it always feels like you don’t really know him.

Following surprising allegations about Russia’s alleged tampering in the American government’s policies, and a fifteenth album in early 2018, Richard Melville Hall is now quietly releasing a new album of live recordings from his latest opus Everything Was Beautiful And Nothing Hurt.

The idea came about after the five concerts following the release: “When we played the songs live, I loved how noisy and intense they sounded, and wanted to document them in a beautiful, legendary studio”. Legendary to say the least, as the studio in question is the EastWest Studio in Los Angeles, the birthplace of the Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds and some of Frank Sinatra’s songs (It Was A Very Good Year, Strangers In The Night…). Unpredictable indeed.
