Triggerfinger

A hard-hitting and sharply dressed Belgian rock band that evokes Queens of the Stone Age, Masters of Reality, Led Zeppelin, and the Hives, Triggerfinger first made a splash in 2004 with the singles "Inner Peace" and "Camaro," both of which appeared on their acclaimed eponymous debut album. Employing a punitive blend of blues, stoner metal, and indie rock, the band achieved both regional and international success, garnering an enthusiastic response from rock fans across the generational spectrum. Formed in 1998 in Antwerp around the talents of Ruben Block (guitar/vocals), Mario Goossens (drums), and Paul Van Bruystegem (bass), the trio followed up on the success of their debut with 2008's What Grabs Ya? -- the LP was reissued the following year with extra tracks. The band decamped to Sound City Studios in North Hollywood, California for 2010's All This Dancin' Around, which was certified gold in their Belgian homeland, and was promoted via a European tour with Within Temptation. They topped the Belgian, Netherlands, and Austrian charts in 2012 with an acoustic cover of Lykke Li's hit "I Follow Rivers," and in 2013 they supported the Rolling Stones during that year's Barclaycard Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park, London. 2014 saw the release of their fourth studio long-player, By Absence of the Sun, and 2018's Colossus saw the trio issue their first album with new label Mascot Records, followed by a massive European tour.
