Morgan Saint

Morgan Saint debuted in 2017 with a low-key, left-of-center pop sound in the realm of Lorde, Broods, and Banks. Since issuing 17 Hero that year, the singer, songwriter, and producer has set herself farther apart with two additional EPs, 2018's Alien and 2020's Help. A native of Long Island, Saint, born Morgan Gildersleeve, studied piano for eight years, taught herself how to play guitar, and privately wrote songs and poetry during high school and as she studied illustration at Parsons School of Design. She started performing locally and met fellow artist Cass Dillon, whom she eventually sought to work with her with the intent to record five songs. By the time they were done, Saint had more than doubled her target. In August 2017, after she signed with major-label Epic, the elegant ballad "You," with upfront lyrics sung with understated finesse, was released as her debut single. Parent EP 17 Hero arrived two months later and was followed the next year by Alien, a second set of Dillon collaborations. After the intermediary singles "Thru Your Phone" and "God Bless Our Souls," Saint offered her third EP, Help, in 2020.
