Intricate Dialect

The Deuce's own Intricate Dialect is an MC that you probably haven't heard of. Not to worry, the man likes it like that. Born and raised in Ann Arbor, MI, ID first embraced the message and medium hip hop offered at the tender age of 12. The first local recognition he received was through the bi-weekly freestyle sessions he and his friends held at Community High School. It was through these very sessions that he first met Nick the Ferenheight 2040 who quickly became a co-conspirator in the quest for laying the perfect beat. Scraping together their money to purchase two turntables and a four-track recorder, the pair devoted themselves to writing, rhyming, mixing, and recording hip hop they wanted to hear. Three years worth of these bedroom recordings were sifted through and finally taken in for professional mastering yielding The Life of ID: Basement Up, Intricate's first full-length album release. A year later, the streamlined Solomon's Treasure showed the MC moving towards a more original sound that floated on stuttering beats and lush synth lines. While his work earns critical praise from Michigan-area hip hop heads, radio has been charactericstically cold to his fresh approach. The almighty underground birthed this verbalist and the underground is where he intends to stay.
