Gazebos

Four friends who had long been figures on the Seattle music scene stepped into the spotlight when they formed Gazebos, a band whose music is a loose but powerful blend of punk, garage rock, and vintage pop. Founded in 2014, Gazebos feature Shannon Perry on lead vocals, a veteran of the bands Katherine Hepburn's Voice and Butts as well as a successful tattoo artist; TV Coahran on guitar, who has worked with cult hero R. Stevie Moore and runs the GGNZLA record label; Shane Herrell, who plays bass in Gazebos and Bread & Butter as well as handling guitar duties in the First Times; and drummer Jordan T. Adams, whose résumé includes stints in Monarchies and Spurm. It didn't take long for Gazebos to develop a following in the Pacific Northwest, and in October 2014 they released their first single, "Sauna" b/w "Worse Things" (the latter a song from the musical Grease), through Coahran's label. In 2015, Gazebos had attracted the attention of Hardly Art Records, a Sub Pop-distributed Seattle indie label, and the group struck a recording deal with them. Gazebos' debut album was recorded at the group's practice space, with another Seattle fixture, Kurt Bloch of the Fastbacks and the Young Fresh Fellows, handling engineering and production. The finished album, Die Alone, was released in February 2016.
