DBFC

The brainchild of Mancunian Dave Shaw and Parisian Dombrance, DBFC first hit the underground with the release of their 2014 debut EP, Leave My Room. Released on Her Majesty's Ship -- which was also home to Shaw's solo house and new wave project Dave Shaw and the Beat -- the EP saw the pair drawing influence from the underground French club scene as well as the British shoegaze scene. By the end of 2014, then a four-piece which included Guillaume Rossel and Vincent Choquet, had played a string of dates, including a slot at the prestigious French festival Transmusicals. 2015 saw the group playing at festivals and club nights across Europe while issuing the two singles Get It All and Staying Home. Signing to Different Recordings that same year, the group continued to record and play live, releasing their debut, 2016's Autonomic. The results, which first surfaced in early 2017 with the release of the single Sinner, saw DBFC managing to combine the sophistication of French electronica with the boldness of British guitar music. Second album Jenks was released in mid-2017.
