Cold Fronts

With a sound that melds the intricate guitar interplay of Television with the poppy, lo-fi aesthetic of Guided by Voices, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania indie rock band Cold Fronts look to the past as they create something new. Cold Fronts were formed by Craig Almquist and Jake Hammill, who met while living in New York. Along with fellow musicians Alex Smith, Michael Fickes, and Septon Eisenhart, they moved to Philly to make a serious go at being a band, working whatever jobs they could while devoting all of their time and energy into making Cold Fronts a reality. After playing shows around the East Coast, the band announced plans to release its debut EP, Pretty American, in spring 2012. Drummer Joe Killian replaced Smith and a second EP, Forever, was released on Sire Records in the fall of 2014.
