Christopher D. Lewis
Welsh harpsichordist Christopher D. Lewis grew up in Rhiwbina, Cardiff. He moved to Montréal, Canada in 2005 to study with Luc Beauséjour and Hank Knox at McGill University, where he received his bachelor's degree. He earned his master's degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he worked with Corey Jamason. He received funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council for his Ph.D. His studies have focused on the modern harpsichord repertoire and practices, and he is an acknowledged authority on the instrument. Lewis performs internationally and gives lectures on the harpsichord, and he was named an honorary fellow of the Guild of Musicians and Singers. He has recorded for Naxos.
