Guitarist, composer and improviser, is considered one of the most prolific and unconventional musicians of his generation thanks to a multifaceted style and unlimited musical exploration. He is interested in exploring music, investigating rhythmic complexities, taking care of the improvisational gesture, immersing himself in unknown acoustic and electronic sounds, encountering similar humanity.
He plays with Oliphantre (Martial – Tamborrino), Yellow Squeeds (Lento – Zanisi -Benedetti – Morello), MAT (Allulli – Baron), tellKujira (Calderano – Michelangeli – Guerri), Floors (Vignato – Ponticelli), weave4 (Benoit Delbecq, Francesco Bigoni, Steve Arguelles), Julien Pontviianne Abhra, Matteo Bortone No Land’s.
He regularly collaborates with Enrico Rava, Paolo Fresu, Glauco Venier.
In a multidisciplinary field he is part of the collective In every encounter together with Ermanno Baron and the dancers Roberta Racis and Leon Maric, with whom he participated in residencies for Novara jazz, Fabbrica europa and Marche theater.
He has played in the most important Festivals, Theaters, and clubs all over the world – Umbria Jazz, Südtirol Jazz Festival, Buenos Aires Jazz Festival, Panama Jazz Festival, Buenos Aires Jazz Festival, Bergamo Jazz Festival, Jakarta jazz festival, Parco della musica e casa del jazz (Roma), Torino jazz Festival, Red Sea Jazz Festival, Auditorium de Bordeaux, Moers Festival, Teatro La Fenice (Venezia), Bimhuis, Smalls, Fat Cat (NY), Vortex (Londra), Area Sismica… –
He teaches guitar and improvisation at the Casella conservatory in L’Aquila and at Siena Jazz University, as well as holding masterclasses in Italy and abroad.
