Probablement l’apogée musical de la collaboration entre Donna Summer et ses deux producteurs Giorgio Moroder et Pete Bellotte en ce qui concerne la musique disco. Et un sérieux challenger au disque à venir Bad Girls en tant que meilleur concept album.
Chaque morceau se mêle en effet au suivant dans une harmonie parfaite, toujours efficace et entraînant les décennies passant. Les morceaux se répondent donc entre eux, comme l’hypnotique « Fairytale High », l’émouvant « Working the Midnight Shift », le triomphant « Queen for a Day », le détendu « Now I Need You » – combinaison avant l’heure de disco et de new age, métissage qui deviendra vite populaire –, ou encore la pseudo trance de « Faster & Faster to Nowhere ».
Pour tous ceux qui ne connaissent pas cet album, attachez bien votre ceinture car les émotions sont fortes.
