Cette intro à la Come On Everybody dit tout ! Aucune tromperie sur la marchandise avec le bien nommé Let The Good Times Roll : retour vers le futur du rock’n’roll, du vrai ! Avec JD McPherson, les fantômes d’Eddie Cochran et Little Richard sortent des armoires. Car ce rocker de Tulsa en Oklahoma réussit l'exploit de faire un second disque (encore meilleur que le premier) où rock’n’roll, rockabilly, jive et rhythm & blues se carambolent avec intelligence et efficacité. Adoubé par Josh Homme de QOTSA et Dan Auerbach des Black Keys, McPherson est un sérieux concurrent à ces esthètes à la James Hunter qui reluquent droit devant avec leur œil droit et regarde dans le rétro avec le gauche… Le rock, c’était mieux avant ?
