Après s’être fait un nom avec leur premier opus Secondhand Rapture et surtout le single Hurricane, le duo indie pop originaire de New-York est de retour avec How Does it Feel, album sur lequel la chanteuse Lizzy Plapinger et le producteur Max Hershenow vont plus loin dans l’expérimentation sonore, ajoutant encore plus de mystique à leurs compositions. Plapinger qui, sur ses précédentes performances était à mi-chemin entre Florence Welch et Adele se forge ici une véritable identité vocale et s’impose comme une chanteuse pop à part entière. Que ce soit sur des titres dansants ou sur des chansons plus posées, la production de Hershenow se révèle être d’une efficacité redoutable. Pour l’écriture de ce disque, le duo a fait appel à l’aide d’artistes tels que MNDR, Tove Lo ou encore le batteur Zach Nicita qui ont su apporter leur pierre à cet édifice d’electro pop. © LG/Qobuz
