Dan Ghenacia
Dan Ghenacia's first exposure to house music is not unlike most music enthusiasts'; Ghenacia was introduced to house from a rave he attended, and shortly after, the records and turntables followed. A French native, Ghenacia's taste in music varies from disco-funk to traditional, down-tempo house. After high school, in 1995, the Parisian relocated to San Diego. He made friends with DJ Quark and landed his first public gig at a club called "Flame." Within two years of his return to France, Ghenacia's DJing career started growing. With the help of the Magic Garden parties and playing alongside other respected DJs such as Cajmere, Carl Craig, and Green Velvet, his career escalated around the late '90s. Ghenacia furthers his contributions to the Parisian house scene by having a part in the store Traffic Records. His mix CD Revolving House was issued in October of 2000 on Cyclo Records.
