Deutsche Grammophon, le label allemand le plus prestigieux au monde, annonçait il y a quelques semaines avec perte et fracas le retour du pianiste russe Evgeni Kissin dans son écurie, aux côtés maintenant, côté piano, de Murray Perahia, Krystian Zimerman, Daniil Trifonov, Rafal Blechacz ou encore Seong-Jin Cho. C'est donc avec une certaine impatience que les amoureux du piano guettent cet album Beethoven qui se révèle tempétueux, d'une maîtrise confondante (si ce n'est toujours absolument enivrante), notamment dans l'Appassionata où la main gauche ouvre des espaces d'expression assez inouïs. Cette Appassionata pourra attiser plus vivement encore le regret que Deutsche Grammophon n'ait pas voulu investir pour ce retour de Kissin sur le label jaune dans un vrai album studio, cohérent de prises de son, plutôt que de rassembler un patchwork trop disparate de prises sur le vif. © TG/Qobuz
