Ce projet Adamo chante Bécaud part d’une double conviction. Celle de Salvatore Adamo que le répertoire de Gilbert Bécaud est de prime importance, pour lui, pour la chanson française et même mondiale. Et surtout que ce même répertoire n’est plus justement représenté et mis en valeur, après l’érosion du temps et des mémoires… C’est donc tout naturellement que celui que Brel appelait le tendre jardinier de l’amour souhaitait rendre hommage à Monsieur 100.000 volts en reprenant quinze de ses meilleures chansons, parfois célébrissimes et d’autres plus secrètes. Un bel hommage produit par Dominique Blanc-Francard avec classe et sur lequel Adamo apporte une touche vraiment personnelle à des chansons assez intemporelles. © CM/Qobuz
