Heidi Hauge

Norwegian country singer Heidi Hauge began her career in the late '90s singing with her husband, Bjørn Arild Hauge. Although music was initially just a hobby for her, she went on to become one of the best-selling country artists in Scandinavia, releasing numerous gold records and becoming a major concert attraction. After landing a deal with Showtime Records, she made her debut with 2000's Country Time. Over the coming decade, Hauge would maintain a prolific recording schedule, occasionally delivering two albums per year with similarly themed titles like Country Girl (2001), Country Blue (2002), and Country Jewels (2004). She eventually moved to the Scana label where she recorded albums like 2007's Some Broken Hearts… and the holiday album Christmas Eve in the Country. A greatest-hits collection arrived in 2009 though it would be a number of years before Hauge delivered a new studio album. In 2016, she reemerged to release a duets album with fellow Norwegian country star Arne Benoni called Acoustic Country Duets. Later that year, she returned with a new solo EP called Country Night.
