The Distance
Connecticut hardcore band the Distance formed in 2002 and immediately set about recording their first demos, some of which were released on 7" vinyl over the next couple of years through independent labels like Takeover and Bridge Nine. Comprised of vocalist Jay Reason, guitarist Jon Dobyns, bassist James "Chino" Ward, and drummer Lonn Bologna, the band released a six-track EP, Your Closest Enemies, on Bridge Nine in 2004, and three tracks for a split CD with in-state rivals With Honor, released in 2005 by Martyr Records. Their full-length CD/DVD debut on Abacus Recordings, The Rise, the Fall and Everything in Between, arrived in 2006.
