Fallen From The Sky

Contrary to their band name, Fallen from the Sky actually came together in a Boca Raton garage during the spring of 2002. The punk rock outfit formed around singer Ryan Loughney, drummer Giancarlo Aservi, bassist Marcus Kora, and guitarists Eric Jazvac and Ky Morland, with a sound similar to the Movielife and Rise Against. Spreading their name around their native Florida through the usual rounds of touring, festival appearances, and even some local radio airplay, the guys released the five-song EP I Understand...But Goodbye in December 2003. Fallen from the Sky hit up part of 2004's Warped Tour before signing with South Florida indie JMB Records that November. The next month saw the release of their second record, the EP Tune Out the World, which was then reissued the following April. Touring continued and a limited-edition self-titled 7" appeared in February 2006. By the fall, the guys had qualified into the Top Six of finalists for the MTV2 on-air contest Dew Circuit Breakout, alongside bands like Halifax and I Am the Avalanche. Fallen From the Sky ultimately nabbed second place (Halifax took top honors), an impressive accomplishment that pumped the band up as they toured and readied their next album early the next year.
