Nora En Pure

Nora En Pure produces a bright, sunny form of deep house which often incorporates acoustic instruments such as flute, piano, and harmonica. Born in South Africa and raised in Switzerland, her music is informed by her extensive traveling, as well as her background in classical and pop music. Her sweetly euphoric tracks often evoke nature scenes and exotic locations, with titles like "Saltwater," "Diving with Whales," and "Lake Arrowhead." She is a member of the Helvetic Nerds collective, along with artists such as Dinka, Daniel Portman, DJ Tatana, and producer Christian Hirt. Daniela Niederer was born in Johannesburg to a South African mother and a Swiss father, and learned how to play piano and flute as a child. Around 2008, she met some friends who produced electronic music, and she started making house tracks as Nora En Pure soon afterwards. Her prolific string of singles and EPs, most of which appeared on Zürich-based Enormous Tunes, began in 2010. Her remix of Daniel Portman's "Khaweri" and Aaliyah-sampling original track "You Make Me Float" both attracted a buzz, but her biggest song to date was the 2013 single "Come with Me," which reached the Top 50 of the Belgian singles chart. By 2015, she had remixed Dirty Vegas, RÜFÜS, and Dragonette, and had performed at the Ultra Music Festival, Mysteryland, and Webster Hall. Niederer delivered a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix in July of 2016, and completed a residency at Ibiza club Privilege. Following performances at various festivals and events, including Tomorrowland and Coachella, she issued the singles "We Found Love" (featuring Ashibah) and "Birthright" in 2019.
