The Plan

The Plan were initially formed as a solo project for Rebecca Gillieron of the dance-punk group Wetdog, but soon became a full-fledged band when she began adding friends and relations to the lineup. Formed in the summer of 2016 in the small town of Southend-on-Sea, the angular, post-punk-loving group added a healthy dose of Deal sisters sass to its sound. With the contributions of cellist/keyboardist R. Chapman (whom Gillieron plays with in Private Trousers), drummer J. Chapman, bassist/vocalist Amy Glover, and guitarist L. Curtis, their debut album of scrappy Raincoats/Wire/Fall/Yummy Fur-inspired sounds came together in the first half of 2017. They released the fittingly titled Nervous Energy on the local Southend Records label in October of that year.
