Bloody Hammers

Based serendipitously out of Transylvania County, Pennsylvania, Bloody Hammers employ a macabre blend of psych-blasted occult rock, heavy metal, goth rock, and doom metal. Emerging in the early 2010s and catching fire in 2014 with the release of their Napalm Records debut, Under Satan's Sun, the band revolves around the core duo of singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Anders Manga, and keyboardist Devallia. Founded in 2010 by the husband-and-wife team of Manga and Devallia, Bloody Hammers issued their eponymous debut album independently in 2012. After releasing Spiritual Relics the following year, the band caught the attention of Napalm Records, which quickly added the self-described "Southern gothic mountain fuzz" enthusiasts to their roster. The aptly named Under Satan's Sun, which deftly paired occult-themed desert hard rock with schlocky '70s horror theatricality, arrived in 2014 and was followed by the group's first European tour. The like-minded Lovely Sort of Death appeared two years later and was followed in 2017 by the EP The Horrific Case of Bloody Hammers. 2019 saw the release of the doomy Summoning LP, and in 2021, the band issued the retro horror-punk opus Songs of Unspeakable Terror.
