Des enregistrements jamais parus des années 1950-1982 de celle que Wilhelm Furtwängler admirait pour sa capacité à moduler sa voix en fonction de chaque rôle qu'elle incarnait. Une identification absolue à ses rôles en unité avec le chant et le jeu scénique qui ont fait de Martha Mödl une star. Wieland Wagner la comparait à Wilhelmine Schröder-Devrient, l'interprète favorite de son grand-père. 2012 marque les 100 ans de la naissance de Martha Mödl et cet album célèbre cette immense voix du vingtième siècle.
