Il a beau avoir cassé sa pipe en 2010 à l’âge de 74 ans, Hank Cochran est toujours bien vivant. Du moins ses chansons. Des ballades country enveloppées dans un esprit très Hemingway que Jamey Johnson a décidé de ressusciter ici, le temps de cet album hommage. Une belle célébration dotée d’un casting assez bluffant où se croisent notamment Willie Nelson, Alison Krauss, Kris Kristofferson, Elvis Costello, Emmylou Harris, Merle Haggard, Ray Price, Asleep At The Wheel, George Strait, Bobby Bare et Lee Ann Womack. De son vivant, Cochran fut chanté par les plus grands, de Patsy Cline à Ray Price, en passant par Eddy Arnold, Burl Ives, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn et tant d’autres. Des voix qui porteront des merveilles comme Make The World Go Away ou I Fall To Pieces.
