Psy 4 De La Rime

Psy 4 de la Rime is a chart-topping French rap group from Marseille. Comprised of Segnor Alonzo (born Kassimou D'Jae), Soprano (Saïd M'Roubaba), Don Vincenzo (Iliassa Issilame), and Sya Styles (Rachid Ait-Baar), the group was founded in 1995 in Marseille, France. Several years later Psy 4 de la Rime made their full-length album debut, Block Party (2002), on 361 Records, a Marseilles-based independent label founded by fellow rapper Akhenaton. Released in association with Virgin France, Block Party was an immediate hit. It opened at number seven on the French albums chart and spawned four hit singles ("Le Son des Bandits," "Block Party," "La Vengeance a Deux Visages," "Sale Bête"). The follow-up album Enfants de la Lune (2006), also on 361 Records, was even more popular. It opened at number three on the French chart, hit the charts also in Switzerland and Belgium, and spawned another round of hit singles ("Le Monde Est Stone," "Enfants de la Lune," "Effet de Style, Effet de Mode"). Afterward, one of the group members, Soprano, released a full-length solo album, Puisqu'il Faut Vivre (2007), on Hostile Records. Not long thereafter Psy 4 de la Rime returned with their third album, Les Cités d'Or (2008), released on the Universal subsidiary Barclay. Yet another blockbuster release, Les Cités d'Or opened at number one on the French albums chart, once again charted in neighboring Switzerland and Belgium, and spawned a round of hit singles ("Jeunesse France," "Les Cités d'Or"). After a four-year break to focus on solo projects, Psy 4 de la Rime released 2013's 4ème Dimension, which included the singles "Visage De La Honte" and "Crise De Nerfs", and reached number three in the French album charts.
